Club career
editBorn inPamplona,Navarre,Serrano joinedVillarreal CF's youth setup in 2015, aged 12, after representingUDC TxantreaandCA Osasuna.[2]In August 2018, at the age of 15, he signed forAthletic Bilbao.[3]
In May 2020, after finishing his formation, Serrano was promoted straight tothe reserves,without playing forCD Basconia,thefarm team,[4]and signed a professional contract late in the month.[5]He made his senior debut on 18 July, coming on as a second-halfsubstituteforJuan Artolain a 1–1 home draw againstCD Badajoz,in the2020 Segunda División B play-offs.[6]
Serrano scored his first senior goal on 7 November 2020, netting the opener in a 2–1 home win overSD Amorebieta.[7]In June of the following year, he was called up by managerMarcelinoto make the pre-season with the main squad.[8]
Serrano made his first team – andLa Liga– debut on 11 September 2021, replacingIñaki Williamslate into a 2–0 home win overRCD Mallorca.[9]On 11 August of the following year, he was loaned toSegunda DivisiónsideCD Mirandésforthe season.[10]
On 10 August 2023, Serrano moved on a new season-long loan toPEC Zwollein the Netherlands.[11]In January 2024, his loan at Zwolle was terminated to allow him to joinRacing de Ferroluntil the end of the season.[12]
