Paul Rosenthal (violinist)

Paul Rosenthal(born 1942) is an Americanviolinist.[1]

Rosenthal has played the violin since the age of three. He went to theJuilliard SchoolinNew York Cityand studied at theUniversity of Southern Californiaunder acclaimed masterJascha Heifetz,a violinist.

A resident ofAlaskawith his wifeLinda Rosenthalsince 1969, Rosenthal founded theSitka Summer Music Festival,a chamber music festival which is held annually inSitka.Later, he joined the faculty at theUniversity of Alaska,first inFairbanksand later inAnchorage.[2]

He has recorded on a number of labels; they includeRCA,Vox,Fidelio,Arabesque,Vanguard,andBiddulph.
