editBorn inMoscow,Mavlanov began his racing career inkartingat the age of 13 in the Russian cups, collecting titles in various classes.[1]
Formula Renault
editMavlanov made his début insingle-seatersin 2011, competing in theEurocup Formula Renault 2.0andFormula Renault 2.0 Alpsfor the Boëtti Racing Team.[2]He ended his Eurocup season without any point-scoring finishes, while in the Alps series, he had ten point-scoring finishes from sixteen races.
Mavlanov switched toTech 1 Racingin 2012, again competing in both theEurocup Formula RenaultandFormula Renault 2.0 Alps.[3]In the Eurocup he failed to score any points again, while in the Alps series, he degraded to five point-scoring finishes.
Mavlanov joined RC Formula for both theFormula Renault 2.0 NECand theEurocup Formula Renaultseries.[4]In the NEC series he scored his first Formula Renault 2.0 podium, while in the Eurocup, he recorded his worst season with three disqualifications and was excluded from the final round atBarcelona.
International GT Open
editMavlanov made his sports car racing debut in the GTS class of theInternational GT Openin2013,racing forSMP Racing - Russian Bears.[5]He finished fourth in the GTS standings with three class wins.
