Siphluriscidaeis a family ofmayflies.It contains a single extant species,Siphluriscus chinensis,which is native to Vietnam and China.[1][2]It is thought to be the most primitive living lineage of mayflies.[3]A fossil genus,Stackelbergiscais known from several species from the Jurassic and Early Cretaceous of Asia.[1]A second species ofSiphluriscus,S. davidiwas later assigned to the genusSiphlonurus.[1]
