editHis career took off in the 2012 season when incoming Head CoachAndrew Ordsigned him toBEC Tero Sasanaon a 3-year deal. In his first season Cleiton won theThai League T12012Golden boot with 24 goals withTeerasil Dangda.[citation needed]
On 2013 he is winnerThai League T12013Player of the month march and winner striker of the years award.[citation needed]
Muangthong United
editAfter short unsuccessful spell withDelfinesin Mexico, in late 2014 he signed forMuangthong Unitedin Thai Premier League and scored 5 goals during the second leg of the 2014 Thai Premier League. With a hat-trick in a 3–0 win over in the 2016 season Silva became the first foreigner to score 100 league goals in Thailand.[1]

editIn August 2022, Silva was announced as one of the five foreigners signed byEast Bengalfor the upcomingseason.[4]
On 28 August, he made his debut againstKolkata derbyrivalATK Mohun Baganin theDurand Cup,which ended in a narrow 1–0 loss. He came on as a half-time substitute for compatriotEliandro.[5][6]Six days later, he scored his first two goals for the club againstMumbai City,in a thrilling 4–3 win. He perfectly executed afree-kickand later the winner in the 81st-minute to handEast Bengaltheir first competitive win after seven months.[7][8]
