The1972–73 WCHL seasonwas the seventh season of theWestern Canada Hockey League(WCHL). It featured twelve teams and a 68-game regular season. TheSaskatoon Bladestopped the regular season standings with 46 wins. However, in the playoffs, theMedicine Hat Tigersdefeated the Blades in the championship series to win the club's firstPresident's Cuptitle.[1]
