Written byNeil Gaiman,pencilled byAndy Kubert,and inked byScott Williams,the story was purported to be the "last" Batman story in the wake of severe psychological trauma that Batman endures within theBatman R.I.P.story, and his ultimate fate inFinal Crisis.[13]
