The award forBest British Directorwas presented for the last time until the10th Empire Awardswhere it was presented again for the last time. The ceremony was televised in the United Kingdom byFilm4on 21 February andChannel 4on 25 February.[3]Britishtelevision presenterandradio presenterDermot O'Learyhosted the show for the first time.[2]The awards were sponsored byGeniefor the first time.[1]
