Career

Gaitero won the silver medal in themen's 66kgevent at the2018 Mediterranean Gamesheld in Tarragona, Spain.[1]He competed at theWorld Judo Championshipsin 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021.

In 2021, Gaitero competed in the men's 66kg event at theJudo World Mastersheld in Doha, Qatar.[2]A few months later, he won the silver medal in his event at the2021 Judo Grand Slam Antalyaheld in Antalya, Turkey.[3]He also won one of the bronze medals in themen's 66kgevent at the2021 European Judo Championshipsheld in Lisbon, Portugal.[4]

Gaitero competed in themen's 66kgevent at the2020 Summer Olympicsin Tokyo, Japan where he was eliminated in his first match byGeorgii Zantaraiaof Ukraine.[5]
