The flagshiptelevision stationfor All TV isDZMV-TV,which carries both the VHF Channel 2 (analog broadcast) and UHF Channel 16 (digital broadcast). In addition to DZMV-TV, the network also operates eight analog television stations and ten digital television stations nationwide; bothChannel 2 Manilaand all ofABS-CBN Regionalstations were previously used by ABS-CBN until itsbroadcast franchise expiredin 2020.[2]All TV operates Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 to 23:15 (PST), and Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 to 23:30 (PST).
History
editIn 2019,Advanced Media Broadcasting System(AMBS) was granted a 25-year legislative franchise extension under Republic Act No. 11253 albeit without PresidentRodrigo Duterte's signature as the bill lapsed into law after 30 days of inaction.[3][4]The Vera family and AMBS president Andrew Santiago sold AMBS to Planet Cable of real estate magnate and businessman-politicianManny Villar.[5][6]
On January 5, 2022, theNational Telecommunications Commission(NTC), under the leadership ofGamaliel Cordoba,awarded the frequencies of VHF analog channel 2 and digital channel 16 to AMBS. Furthermore, the channel 2 allocation was given a provisional authority to operate for 18 months until the analog shut-off of the country scheduled in 2023.[7]These channels were previously used byABS-CBNunder the callsignDWWX-TV.ABS-CBN was shut down due to thecease and desist orderfrom the National Telecommunications Commission andSolicitor GeneralJose Calidaon May 5, 2020, and theCongresshasdenied the renewal of its broadcast franchiseon July 10, 2020.[8][9]
AMBS Manila began its test broadcast in June 2022.[10]TV hostWillie Revillameannounced on September 1, 2022 that the TV station of AMBS would be named All TV. Initially slated for an October 1 debut,[11]the station made its soft launch on September 13, 2022, at 12 noon, with plans of expanding it nationwide at the soonest possible time, as announced by Revillame.
During his contract signing with AMBS on July 15, 2022, Willie Revillame announced that his variety showWowowinwould air on All TV after its final broadcast onGMA Networkon February 11, 2022.[12]Weeks after, other celebrities who signed their contracts with AMBS include actress and TV hostToni Gonzagaand her husband and directorPaul Soriano,DZRHbroadcaster and formerABS-CBN NewsanchorAnthony Taberna,singer and actressCiara Sotto,and TV hostMariel Rodriguez.[13][14][15]Gonzaga's special interview with PresidentBongbong Marcosinside theMalacañang Palacewas aired on All TV, the same day the network was soft-launched.[16][17]
AMBS also signed their partnership withCNN Philippinesfor the simultaneous airing of Filipino newscastNews Night,which lasted until April 5, 2023.[18]River Where the Moon Rises,Again My LifeandFrom Now On, Showtime!were the first threeKorean dramasthat aired on All TV.[19][20][21]
In April 2024, AMBS entered into an acquired agreement withABS-CBN Corporationto broadcast a selected number of current and previous ABS-CBN programs on All TV.[22][23][24][25]The channel is also simulcasting the new version ofGoin' Bulilit.[26][27]
Programming
editSince February 6, 2023, all the original programs of All TV have been canceled or put on hiatus due to various reasons.[28][29][30]
Availability
editAll TV is seen via AMBS' flagship stationDZMV-TVChannel 2, digital terrestrial UHF channel 16 in Mega Manila, and thirteen analog and digital regional stations nationwide. The channel is also attempting to continue its expansion of analog and digital terrestrial televisions in other key provinces as soon as possible.
