Avanhard Stadium(Ukrainian:Стадіон «Авангард») is an abandoned football stadium inPripyat,Ukraine. It was built to become the home ground ofFC Stroitel Pripyat.Due to theChernobyl disasterit was never realized.[1][2]It was named, like several other grounds, after theUkrainian sports society trade union.The town of Pripyat was evacuated following theChernobyl disasteron 26 April 1986, which occurred a few kilometers away.
