Film location
editSchloss Bürresheim has been frequently used as a film location. The castle's exteriors stood in for "Schloss Brunwald" in Austria inIndiana Jones and the Last Crusade(1989), where Indiana Jones' father (played bySean Connery) was being held captive by the Nazis.[1]
In the film, the image of the castle has been flipped and the building was expanded with aMatte paintingdepicting a copy of the right facade to the left of the main tower.
