editKikanović played two years ofcollege socceratCalifornia State University, Sacramentobetween 2018 and 2019, making 34 appearances, scoring 9 goals and tallying 5 assists.[1]
In 2019, Kikanović played withNPSLsideSacramento Gold.[2]
Professional career
editOn January 13, 2020, Kikanović joinedUSL ChampionshipsideReno 1868.He had been scouted at aSan Jose Earthquakescombine and was offered a contract with Reno, their USL affiliate.[3]Reno folded their team on November 6, 2020, due to the financial impact of theCOVID-19 pandemic.[4]
On February 16, 2021, Kikanović joinedMLSsideSan Jose Earthquakeson a one-year deal with club options through the 2024 MLS season.[5]

editKikanović was born in San Jose, California[5]and is ofBosniandescent.[6]He grew up inAntelope, Californiaand played in AYSO, Placer United and atAntelope High School.[7]
