Brandon Choiis an Americancomic bookwriter best known for his work forWildStorm Productions,in particular for the seriesWildC.A.T.sandGen13artist/publisherJim Lee.

Biography

Choi was born inSeoul,Korea and came to the U.S. when he was two years old. He formed a boyhood friendship with future comic book collaboratorJim Lee,and began creating comics together when they were both in the sixth grade. Choi and Lee's 1986 comicWild Boyslanded Lee his first job atMarvel Comics.[1]

Choi studied entertainment law after high school, but changed careers after graduation. While making plans to attend graduate school to study screenwriting, Lee contacted Choi with an offer to work atHomage Studios,which later becameWildstorm Productions.[1]

In 1992, Choi and Lee co-created the seriesWildC.A.T.swith Lee, which would be their debut book fromImage Comics,the company Lee and several other popular artists formed to publishcreator-owned comics.In 1998 these properties were purchased byDC Comics,and incorporated into thatpublisher's continuity.[2][3]

Choi is an uncle-in-law toShammas Malik,the mayor of Akron, Ohio.
