Early life
editBassinger was born inSaginaw, Texas.[2][3]She resides with her mother, while the rest of her family remains in Texas.[4]She used to play basketball, volleyball, and run track and field.[5]Bassinger participated in beauty pageants and was an Our Little Miss World Winner. She has two older brothers named Beric and Brice.[6]Before becoming an actress, she was a competitive cheerleader.[7]She was diagnosed withType 1 diabetesat the age of 8.[8]
Career
editIn 2014, Bassinger was cast in the lead role of theNickelodeoncomedy seriesBella and the Bulldogs,[9]which ran for two seasons from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, she joined the cast of the 2018 direct-to-video teen comedy filmStatus Update.[10]Also in 2018, Bassinger played the role of Roni in theHulutelevision seriesAll NightfromAwesomenessTV.[11]In 2019, she appeared in the thriller film47 Meters Down: Uncaged.[12]
In 2018, Bassinger was cast in the lead role ofCourtney Whitmorein the television seriesStargirl,[13]which premiered onDC UniverseandThe CWin May 2020.[14]
In March 2024, it had been announced that Bassinger will be cast in a lead role for the upcoming sequel of the horror franchiseFinal Destination;the sixth film has been titledFinal Destination: Bloodlines.[15][16]
