TheCAM cladeis a clade containing theArchaeplastida(Plantaesensu lato) and the cladePancryptista(which, in turn, containsCryptistaandMicroheliella maris). This clade is supported byphylogenomicanalyses from 2022 that mainly support the clade Pancryptista, but also mention that Archaeplastida's closest lineage is Pancryptista, making them sister taxa.[1]Together, they form the clade CAM, which stands for the constituent clades (Cryptista,Archaeplastida, andMicroheliella).
