Christine Elizabeth King,CBE,FRHistS,DLis a British historian anduniversity administrator.She wasVice-Chancellorand Chief Executive ofStaffordshire Universityfrom 1995 to 2011.[1]

King has published extensively on theThird Reich[1]and is considered an expert on Nazi Germany.[2]She was formerly head of the School of Historical and Critical Studies and Dean of the Faculty of Arts atLancashire Polytechnic.In 1990 she was appointed Assistant Director of Staffordshire Polytechnic,[3]which became Staffordshire University in 1992.

Honours

King was appointedCommander of the Order of the British Empire(CBE) in the 2007 New Year Honours list for services to higher education. She is a Fellow of theRoyal Historical Societyand aDeputy LieutenantforStaffordshire.
