Addai played youth football forArsenal,prior to joiningCoventry Cityin 2014 signing a professional contract two years later. He had loan spells atHendon,Dulwich Hamlet,AFC Telford UnitedandRedditch Unitedbefore leaving the club in January 2020. He spent the 2020–21 season withBarnsley,spending a short spell on loan atChesterfield,and spent the following season in Denmark withEsbjerg fB.He signed forEFL League TwoclubCrawley Townin summer 2022.

Coventry City

Born inLondon,Addai was scouted forArsenal's academy as a goalkeeper aged 10, having played in the position in a Sunday league game despite usually playing outfield.[2]He joinedCoventry Cityin 2014, signing his first professional contract with the club two years later.[3][4]He joinedHendonon a youth loan in January 2018.[4][5]He made five appearances for the club in all competitions.[5]He joinedIsthmian LeaguePremier Division clubDulwich Hamleton loan in March 2018.[6]Addai scored a 90th-minute winner for the club with a free-kick from inside his own half in their 1–0 Velocity Trophy semi-final win overBrentwood Townon 7 March 2018.[6][7]On 10 April 2018, he was recalled from his loan, having made 7 appearances.[7]

On 26 July 2019, it was announced that Addai would joinAFC Telford Unitedon a month's loan from 2 August to 2 September.[8]He made seven league appearances on loan at the club.[1]On 12 September 2019, he joinedSouthern LeagueclubRedditch Unitedon loan until January 2020.[9]He made three league appearances for the club.[10]Addai left Coventry at the end of January 2020 after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.[11]

Barnsley

Addai joinedBarnsleyin September 2020 following a trial at the club.[12]In November 2020, he joinedNational LeagueclubChesterfieldon a one-month loan.[13]He made two appearances on loan at the club.[1]He was released by Barnsley at the end of the season.[14]

Esbjerg fB

In September 2021, he joined DanishDanish 1st DivisionclubEsbjerg fBon a one-year deal, having spent the 2021–22 pre-season on trial atPortsmouth.[15]He made four league appearances over the course of the 2021–22 season.[1]

Crawley Town

Addai signed forCrawley Townin July 2022.[16]On 30 July 2022, he debuted for Crawley during a 0–1 loss toCarlisle.[17]

Stockport County

On 27 June 2024, Addai signed withEFL League OneclubStockport Countyfor an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.[18]

International career

Born in England, Addai was called up to theJamaica national teamin May 2022,[19]and made his unofficial debut in a 6–0 loss toCataloniain the same month, replacingDillon Barnesin the 56th minute.[20]
