Cyril John Mockridge(August 6, 1896 – January 18, 1979) was anEnglishfilm and television composer. He received professional training at theRoyal Academy of Musicin London. In the early 1930s, Mockridge went to Hollywood where he scored and arranged the music for more than a hundred films includingCheaper by the Dozen,River of No ReturnandThe Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
