Career
editRoach started comic book illustration in the 1980s, self-publishing theHellfirefanzine. Since 1988 Roach has worked as aninkerandpencillerfor2000 AD[1]on such titles asNemesis the Warlock,Judge Anderson,Judge DreddandSynnamon.[2]
In the 1990s, Roach started producing work forDC Comics,drawingBatmanand Demonand inkingChallengers of the Unknown.Roach contributed to theDark Horse Comics'Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.
Roach is associate editor of the U.S. based magazineComic Book Artist,which is dedicated to the historical representation of comic-book characters. Roach was co-editor ofThe Warren Companion: The Definitive Compendium to the Great Comics ofWarren Publishing[3](2001) the revised edition of theSlings and Arrows Comics Guide[4](2003) andTheSuperheroBook: The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Comic Book Icons and Hollywood Heroes[5][6](2004).
Roach has worked as illustrator for consecutiveDungeons & Dragons[7]role playing gamebook titles for publishersWizards of the Coast.[8]
Roach's recent work has included working asstoryboardartist and penciller of accompanyinggraphic novel,Hard Choices 'What happened on Algol?',forUltramarines: The Movieboth written byDan Abnettand released on 29 November 2010.[9]
