David Neil Twohy(/ˈtuːi/TOO-ee;born October 18, 1955) is an Americanfilm directorandscreenwriter.[1]He is known for working on science fiction-action films, most notablyVin Diesel'sThe Chronicles of Riddickseries.

Early life and education
editTwohy was born inLos Angeles County, California.Attended Palos Verdes High School. He attended college atCalifornia State University, Long Beach,graduating with a degree in radio/television/film.
Career
editHis most notable filmmaking credits have been writingThe Fugitive,Waterworld,andGI Jane,but he is mostly known for writing and directingThe Arrivaland most entries in theChronicles of Riddickfranchise.[2][3][4]
He has a cameo inBelowas the British captain of the rescue ship.
Riddick: Furya,the fourth installment ofThe Chronicles of Riddickwas announced in February 2023. Twohy has written the script and will direct the film.[5]
