Denis Arndt(born November 23, 1939) is anAmericanactor,best known for his starring role as Alex Priest in the playHeisenbergfor which he earned a 2017Tony Awardnomination forBest Actor in a Play.[1]

Life and career
editDenis Arndt served in theVietnam Waras aUnited States Armyhelicopter pilot, earning aPurple HeartandCommendation Medal. After the war, Arndt flew helicopters inAlaskafor several years before completing a degree at theUniversity of Washington.He joined theOregon Shakespeare FestivalinAshland, Oregonwhere he completed 15 seasons and was a charter member ofSeattle'sIntiman Theatre.[2]
AfterKenneth Welshexited rehearsals of the playHeisenberg,Arndt was cast and joined theManhattan Theater Club's production, which opened June 3, 2015.[3]The production moved toBroadway'sSamuel J. Friedman Theatreon October 13, 2016.[4]
Arndt has also appeared in guest roles on a number of television shows includingThe Good Fight,Grey's Anatomy,SupernaturalandVanished.He had a regular role onAnnie McGuireand recurring roles onPicket FencesandL.A. Law.He has appeared in films includingBasic InstinctandHow to Make an American Quilt.
