Dillon Francis Casey(born October 29, 1983) is an American-Canadian actor. He is best known for his role as Sean Pierce in The CW's action-thriller television seriesNikita.

Early life

Casey was born inDallas,Texas,and raised inOakville, Ontario.[4]His father, Richard, is aurologist,and his mother, Patrice, is animage consultant.After graduating fromOakville Trafalgar High School,[5]Casey graduated fromMcGill Universitywith aBachelor of Sciencedegree in 2005,[6]and earned aMaster of Economicsdegree from theUniversity of Toronto.[6]

Career

Casey moved toTorontoto return to his roots and was chosen to play the role of Trevor Lemonde in a short runningCBCshow calledMVP.[7]The show garnered attention for the actor, putting him on a giant billboard in his underwear inTimes Square.[8]

Casey relocated to Los Angeles, California for his career in January 2009. Over the next few years he attained guest roles on shows includingWarehouse 13andThe Vampire Diariesand recurring roles onValemont,Being Erica,andSkins.[9]

In July 2011, Casey appeared asBradin a notable episode ofTorchwood: Miracle Day,titled "Dead of Night".[10][11]

In 2011, he was cast asNavy SEALSean Piercein the action showNikita.Casey's part was initially intended to be a short term recurring role, but was upgraded to a series regular.[citation needed]

He obtained his first lead role for the movieCreaturewhich was released in September 2011 and was unsuccessful at the box office.[12]

In 2012, Casey was cast inThe Vow,which was successful at the box office as the fourth-highest weekend debut of 2012.[citation needed]

Casey starred in the 2013 digital seriesBackpackers,and in the 2014-15 TV dramaRemedy.[13][14]

In 2016, he guest-starred in Marvel'sAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,appearing in the episodes "4,722 Hours"and"Maveth"as astronautWill DanielsandHydraInhumanHive.[15]
