TheEdgar Allan Poe Awards,popularly called theEdgars,are presented every year by theMystery Writers of America[1]which is based inNew York City.[2]Named after American writerEdgar Allan Poe(1809–1849), a pioneer in the genre, the awards honor the best inmystery fiction,non-fiction,television,film,andtheaterpublished or produced in the previous year.
