Early life and education
editKnight was born inBirmingham,United Kingdomto Stuart and Lorna Knight, who were both teachers.[2]His father worked at Broadway Secondary School inPerry Barr,Birmingham. He was a pupil atKing Edward VI Aston Schooland studied subsequently at theManchester Metropolitan School of Theatre,[3]where he graduated with aBA (Hon)degree in 2011.[4][5]
Career
editIn June 2011,Sky1announced that Knight had won the lead role in the television dramaSinbadwhich was his first professional role.[4]The series premiered in July 2012. In 2013, Knight joined the cast of BBC crime dramaBy Any Means.[6]In 2015, Knight was cast to play Merlin in the fifth season ofOnce Upon a Time.[7]
In March 2017, Knight was cast as Wes Charles in The CW seriesLife Sentence.[8]The series was picked up in May for a midseason premiere some time in 2018.[9][10]
In 2020, Knight starred oppositeNicolas CageandJoely Richardsonin the sci-fi cosmic horror filmColor Out of Space,directed byRichard Stanley.[11]
In 2021, Knight was cast as Officer Chadwick in season 5 of the TNT crime dramaAnimal Kingdom.[12]
In 2024, Knight showed up in the 4th season of The Boys on Amazon Prime as Colin, Frenchie's love interest.
