Fellowship of the Royal Society of Canada(FRSC) is an award granted to individuals that theRoyal Society of Canadajudges to have "made remarkable contributions in thearts,thehumanitiesand thesciences,as well as inCanadianpublic life ".[1]As of 2020[update],there are more than 2,000 living Canadianfellows,includingscholars,artists, and scientists such asMargaret Atwood,Philip J. Currie,David Suzuki,Brenda Milner,andDemetri Terzopoulos.[1]There are four types of fellowship:[1]
- Honorary fellows (atitle of honour)
- Regularly elected fellows
- Specially elected fellows
- Foreign fellows (neither residents nor citizens of Canada)
