History
editThe club was founded in summer 2009, from the merger between two clubs, both ofSerie D:
- A.C. SalòofSalò,founded in 1985, asA.C. Salò Benacoand so renamed since 2001,
- A.C. Feralpi LonatoofLonato del Garda,founded in 1980, asA.C. Lonatoand so renamed since 1985.[1]
On 12 August 2009 the club was admitted toLega Pro Seconda Divisione[2]in place of not admittedPistoiese.[3][4]
In the season 2010–11 fromLega Pro Seconda Divisionegroup A, the club gained promotion toLega Pro Prima Divisionevia the playoffs, for the first time ever.
On 8 April 2023, following a 1–0 home win toTriestina,Feralpisalò mathematically won the Group A title with two games still to go, ensuring themselves a historic first promotion to Serie B.[5]
Stadium
editFeralpisalò's home stadium isStadio Lino Turinain the city of Salò. The club, however, played their home games in the2023–24 Serie Bseason at theStadio Leonardo GarilliofPiacenza,as Stadio Lino Turina did not fulfill the stadium requirements for Serie B games.
