Career
editBorn inNueva Helvecia,[2]Troche began playing football with local side Nacional de Nueva Helvecia as a central defender. Later, he would play forClub Nacional de FootballandC.A. Cerro.[3]
Troche moved abroad to play forClub Atlético Huracánin 1963[4]and again for one season in theBundesligaforAlemannia Aachenin 1967.
Troche played 28 times for theUruguay national teambetween 1959 and 1966,[5]and featured at the1962 World Cupin Chile and at the1966 World Cupin England.[6]Troche became noted when he, during the quarter-final match against West Germany, got into a brawl withUwe Seelerand boxed him on the ear.[citation needed]Uruguay lost the match 4–0.
After he retired from playing, Troche became a manager leadingMexican Primera DivisiónsidesC.D. GuadalajaraandClub de Fútbol Laguna.[2]
