Ian Boothby(born June 8, 1967) is a multipleShuster Award,[1]Harvey Award[2]andEisner Awardnominee and anEisner Award–winning comic book creator best known for his work as the lead writer onSimpsons ComicsandFuturama ComicsforMatt Groening'sBongo Comics.[3]Boothby has written moreSimpsons Comicsissues than any other writer. He is a regular writer forMAD Magazine.He has also worked on various Canadian television series and is a well-known stand-up, sketch and improv comedian working in theVancouverarea.[4]He co-created Free Willie Shakespeare for theVancouver Theatresports Leaguewhich won theJessie Richardson Theatre Awardfor Excellence in Interactive Theatre.[5]
