editDe Vera was offered a basketball scholarship inColegio de San Juan de Letranafter he graduated from high school inColegio San Agustin – Makatibut rejected it to pursue his acting career. He also studied inAteneo de Manila University.De Vera announced on February 28, 2021, in theYouTubechannel ofErich Gonzalesthat he and his non-showbiz partner Rikkah Cruz were married since 2018. They have two daughters, Lana (born April 2018) and Laura (born June 2023).[1]

editHe started his showbiz career in 2003 when he was cast inClick.At the time, he was paired up withValerie Concepcionand Julianne Lee, but was soon cast in supporting and lead roles in primetime series with the likes ofRichard Gutierrez,Dingdong DantesandDennis Trillo.

2010–2013
editDe Vera was transferred to TV5 and signed a three-year contract. He was formally introduced on March 17, 2010, as one of the new talents to the network.[3][4]His last appearance wasCassandra: Warrior Angel.
In December 2010, de Vera announced his departure from Bench following his decision not to renew his contract due to busy commitments, but he moved toCalvin KleinandFreego Jeansin August 2011.[5]
2013–present

In 2015, he starred in the romantic horror filmHalik sa HanginwithJulia MontesandGerald Anderson.He was seen next together withJessy Mendiolain the romantic family drama seriesYou're My Home,alongsideRichard GomezandDawn Zulueta.[8]He starred in the teleserye,The Better Half,as Rafael Cabrera, in 2017.
