TheJaguar C-X17is aconceptcrossover SUVdesigned byJaguar Land Roverand unveiled at the2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.[1]It is the first ever Jaguarcrossover SUV.[2]

It was expected that the C-X17 concept would evolve into a production model,[3]and at the2015 North American International Auto Showit was announced that the production version for 2016 would be called theF-Pace.[4]
Design
editThe C-X17 features an advanced aluminiummonocoquearchitecture on to which future models will be based on, branded as iQ[Al].[5]
The C-X17 is powered by the 3.0-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine found in theJaguar XF,Jaguar XJandJaguar F-Typeand is equipped with a rear-biased intelligentall-wheel drivesystem. The all-aluminium suspension is complemented bytorque vectoring,which brakes the inside wheel. The platform is designed to handle anew range of 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines designed by Jaguar Land Roveras well as the current six-cylinder engine range.
