Jason Paul "J" Brown(born 13 June 1976) is an English former singer. He is best known as a former member, singer and rapper ofboy bandFive.

In 1997, Brown auditioned for Five, a new boy band-style group with "attitude and edge" and was eventually selected to be part of the band along withRitchie Neville,Scott Robinson,Sean ConlonandAbz Love.Five subsequently were signed bySimon CowellandBMG/RCAfor a six-album deal. Five went on to enjoy massive success worldwide, selling over 20 million records in their four years.[1]The band split up on 27 September 2001.[2]During this time, Brown experienced depression and attempted suicide.[3]After the disbandment, Brown devoted his time to charity work and several protests againstIraq War.[4]In 2006 Five attempted a comeback without Conlon, but failed to sign with a new label and the band disbanded again.[5][6]In 2007 Brown was third place in the seventh series ofITV's reality showI'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.[7][8]

Since 2002, Brown has left his artistic career to pursue a degree in architecture.[9]In January 2013, Five returned to star theITV2's reality showThe Big Reunion,but Brown declined to join the group again, claiming he didn't feel comfortable on stage.[10]
