Jess Weixler(born 1981 or 1982) is an American actress. She played Dawn O'Keefe in thecomedy horrorfilmTeethand Jordan in the comedyThe Big Bad Swimand played the role of defence lawyer for Lyle Menendez in the Netflix seriesMonsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.[2]

Early life
editWeixler graduated in 1999 fromAtherton High SchoolinLouisville, Kentucky,where she also attended the Walden Theatre Conservatory Program and was in The River City Players acting group and in the Chamber Singers choral group. Subsequently, Weixler attendedJuilliardwhere she was a classmate ofJessica Chastain.[3]She was a participant during the first year ofBruce Brubaker's InterArts performance project at Juilliard.[citation needed]
Career
editIn 2007 she was nominated for a Breakthrough Award at theGotham Awards,[4]and won the Special Jury Prize "for a juicy and jaw-dropping performance" at theSundance Film Festival,[5]both for her role inTeeth.She also appeared in the TV seriesLaw & Order: Criminal Intent.In January 2009, she was named byNew Yorkmagazine as the "New Indie Queen" of the year and one of the fourteen "New Yorkers you need to know".[1]
In 2013, she joined the cast ofCBSseriesThe Good Wife,playing investigator Robyn Burdine. That same year she appeared inThe Disappearance of Eleanor Rigbyas the title character's sister. The part was written specifically for her.[6]
Weixler next turned her hand to writing, penning the script forApartment Troubleswith her friend, and former roommateJennifer Prediger.The two co-directed and co-starred in the movie.[7]Apartment Troublespremiered at the2014 Los Angeles Film Festival.[8]It was picked up by Gravitas Ventures and given theatrical and VOD distribution in March 2015.
In June 2015, she joined the cast ofMoney,directed byMartin Roseteand produced byAtit Shah.[9]
She played Audra Phillips in the sequelIt Chapter Two.[10]
Personal life
editWeixler is married to Hamish Brocklebank, an English businessman and co-founder of Flooved, a school textbook distribution company. In 2019 their first daughter was born.[11]
