James Walter Stephens(December 10, 1883 – January 2, 1965) was aMajor League Baseballcatcherwho played six seasons with theSt. Louis Brownsof theAmerican Leaguefrom1907to1912.A weak hitter, he had a career.220batting average,and hit three home runs in his career, all during the1909season.[1]Mostly a backup in his career, he was a starter in both the1910and1912seasons.[2]
