Early life
editGretsch was born inSt. Cloud, Minnesota,and grew up inAlbany, Minnesota,the son of Russ and Barb. He has a sister, Jane, and a brother, Steve. Gretsch was raisedRoman Catholic.[2]
Career
editGretsch studied acting at theGuthrie TheaterinMinneapolisbefore moving toLos Angelesin 1989. His stage work includes roles inMolière'sTartuffeandJohn Patrick Shanley'sDanny and the Deep Blue Sea.[3]
He started his television work in the early 1990s, appearing in episodes ofMarried... with Children,[3]Melrose Place,FriendsandSaved by the Bell: The New Class.Since then he has appeared in episodes ofJAG,[3]Silk Stalkings,[3]CSI: Miami,[3]CSI: NY,[3]Burn Notice,[3]andNCIS.[3]In 2006, he played a wealthy advertising executive and husband of a supermodel on an episode ofLaw & Order: Criminal Intent.In 2007, had two guest appearances playing the father of protagonistDan Vasseron NBC'sJourneyman.[3]
