Career

Acuin became popular because of his predictions. Some of his predictions includedFidel Valdez RamosbecomingPresident of the Philippinesin1992,the eruption ofMount Pinatuboin1991,theCentral Luzonearthquake in1990and the accidental death of directorLino Brockain 1991.

In 2004, Acuin also predicted that a presidential candidate will die before the election year itself ends, which turned out to be popular actor andGloria Macapagal Arroyo's chief rivalFernando Poe Jr.

Acuin also predicted thatJudy Ann Santoswill become pregnant with her husbandRyan Agoncillo's first biological child, which turned out to be a boy.

Death

Acuin was diagnosed withdiabetes mellitusOctober 2009. He then developedpneumoniaand was hospitalized on March 19, 2010. He died fromcardiac arrestafter several of his internal organs failed at thePhilippine Heart Centeron April 29, 2010. He was 63 years old.
