Joshua Michael Bilicki[1](born June 3, 1995) is an American professionalstock car racingdriver. He competes part-time in theNASCAR Cup Series,driving the No. 66Ford Mustang Dark HorseforMBM Motorsportsand part-time in theNASCAR Xfinity Series,driving the Nos. 91 and 92Chevrolet CamarosforDGM Racingand the No. 19Toyota GR SupraforJoe Gibbs Racing.[2]He has also previously competed in theNASCAR Craftsman Truck Seriesandsports car racing.

Racing career
editEarly years
editStarting with kid-karts at age four, Bilicki quickly moved through the ranks and into the next classes.[3]After several years in kid-karts and the Yamaha 100cc engine class, he moved to 80cc Shifter Karts. Bilicki showed his dominance quickly by winning many regional and national races, including the 2008 Road America SKUSA Super-Nationals, which brought competition from across the globe. Several times he even competed against and beat faster 125cc Shifter Karts. In 2011, Bilicki made the jump to 125cc Shifter Karts, and in 2012 Bilicki was recognized by and brought on board the Andrew Chase Racing-PCR team, competing in the Midwest Shifter Kart Series in a brand new PCR Shifter Kart.[4]
Sports cars
editAfter racing Shifter Karts at a top level for nearly five years, Bilicki made the transition to sportscars at age fifteen in 2011, beginning with Spec Miata and the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). Within his first year of sportscar racing, he proved himself once again by earning two pole positions, four top-five finishing positions, and three podiums. After earning his national racing license in 2012, Bilicki began racing theSCCA Majors Tourand has qualified for the famedSCCA National Championship Runoffsevery attempt tried. 2012 also marked his debut in an Area Sportsman Stock Car at a local circle track, Jefferson Speedway.
After several successful years of racing Spec Miata nationally, 2015 marked Bilicki's first year of professional sportscar racing in the IMSA Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge. He also raced a Spec Miata in the SCCA U.S. Majors Tour.
NASCAR
editBilicki debuted in theXfinity SerieswithObaika RacingatRoad Americain 2016. In a blog post, he said that he got his ride by contacting teams that had "TBA" on the entry list the week of the race, and he got a call back from Obaika, offering him a spot.[5]Unfortunately, a crash in qualifying and a dead battery during the race derailed his weekend at his home track, and he finished 38th.[6]Bilicki returned to Obaika Racing, albeit this time in the No. 97, for theTicket Galaxy 200,his first oval start since 2012.[7]Starting last in the 40-car field, he avoided trouble and worked his way up to 28th position. He continued his stint with Obaika for theFord EcoBoost 300,staying in the 97 car alongsideRyan Ellisin Obaika's other entry, the No. 77.[8]Bilicki started 37th and finished 34th.
Bilicki returned to the No. 77 in 2017, along with other races planned with Obaika.[9]In April, Bilicki announced he would make hisMonster Energy NASCAR Cup Seriesdebut in June'sToyota/Save Mart 350atSonoma Raceway,driving the No. 51 forRick Ware Racing.[10]After starting 33rd, he finished 36th.[11]Bilicki also drove an Xfinity Series race atMichigan International SpeedwayforMBM Motorsports,[12]finishing 27th. He ran another race forRick Ware Racingin Cup, but it was not the second road course race as planned. Instead, Bilicki made hisMonster Energy NASCAR Cup Seriesoval debut atNew Hampshire.[13]Later in the season, he signed a deal to run all three of the Xfinity road courses forB. J. McLeod Motorsports,running the organization's No. 8 entry.[14]After pit road speeding penalties atWatkins Glenand a crash atMid-Ohio,Bilicki ran downElliott Sadlerin the final green flag run to finish twelfth at his home track,Road America.[15]He continued his relationship with McLeod a couple weeks later, driving the team's flagship No. 78 atChicagoland Speedway.[16]
On February 5, 2018, it was announced that Bilicki would attempt the full Xfinity season for startup teamJP Motorsports,bringing with him previous sponsorPrevagento the No. 45.[17][18]
On February 4, 2019, it was announced that Bilicki would joinRSS Racingto pilot the team's No. 38Chevrolet Camarofor the full2019 NASCAR Xfinity Seriesseason.[19]In May, he made hisNASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Seriesdebut in theDigital Ally 250atKansas Speedway,driving the No. 34 forReaume Brothers Racing.[20]He also returned to theMonster Energy NASCAR Cup Seriesin June, driving forRick Ware Racingat Michigan.[21]Later in the month, he drove Ware's No. 53 at Chicagoland.[22]Before theKansas Lottery 300in October, he announced he would drive forB. J. McLeod Motorsportsfor the remainder of the 2019 season.[23]
On May 11, 2020, Bilicki andTommy Baldwin Racingannounced that they would partner for the2020 The Real Heroes 400.[24]He also drove sporadically for B. J. McLeod Motorsports, and tied his career-high finish in the Xfinity Series with a 12th-place finish at theDaytona International Speedwayroad course.[25]
On January 19, 2021, Bilicki announced he would compete full-time in the Cup Series for RWR.[26]In the2021 Coke Zero Sugar 400,Bilicki survived to the finish, resulting in him initially finishing in 11th place. However,Chris Buescherwould later be disqualified, promoting Bilicki up to 10th place. This marks Bilicki’s first-ever Top 10 in the top 3 NASCAR divisions.[27]He would also make a handful of starts in theNASCAR Xfinity SeriesforSS-Green Light Racing,driving the 07 and 17.
Bilicki would not return toRick Ware Racingin 2022. Instead, he would drive the No. 77Chevrolet Camaro ZL1forSpire Motorsports,the team he drove for in 2 races in 2020, for a near-full season in the NASCAR Cup Series.[28]In the2022 Xfinity Series season,Bilicki would drive forDGM Racingin the2022 Beef. It's What's for Dinner. 300.[29]He finished 9th, scoring his first Xfinity Series Top 10 in the process. He would also race forAlpha Prime Racingin the No. 44 and the No. 45.[30]
On December 12, 2022, Bilicki was announced to drive theLive Fast MotorsportsNo. 78 on a part-time schedule in 2023, starting atCircuit of the Americas.[31]On January 12, 2023, it was also announced that he would run part-time in the Xfinity Series forDGM Racingsplit between the team's Nos. 36 and 91 cars.[32]Bilicki also returned toSS-Green Light Racingto drive their No. 07 car in theXfinity Series race at Watkins GlenafterChris Hacker,who was originally going to drive that car, was arrested in the week leading up to the race and suspended by NASCAR.[33]Bilicki was actually the team's third pick to drive that car in that race, as Hacker had replacedKatherine Leggebut Legge's sponsor (Blast Equality Collab) did not want to be on the car due to their members' connection with thewriters' strikegoing on at the time.[34]On August 25, 2023, Bilicki was announced to drive the No. 02Young's Motorsportsfor theMilwaukeetruck race. He would be involved in an early accident and would finish 36th.[35]
On January 4, 2024, it was announced that Bilicki would be one of the drivers of theDGM RacingNo. 92 car in the Xfinity Series, starting atDaytona.[36]On May 21, 2024, Bilicki was announced to drive theJoe Gibbs RacingNo. 19 car atPortland.[37]On June 20, it was announced that Bilicki would compete in theCup Series raceat theChicago Street Course,driving theMBM MotorsportsNo. 66 Mustang.[38]He would drive the DGM Racing No. 91 car in the race at Watkins Glen.[39]
Snowmobile
editBilicki won the Outlaw 600 division race at the 2019World Championship Snowmobile Derbyin his home state.[40]
Personal life
editBilicki works as a driving coach and instructor when he is not behind the wheel. He is close friends with fellowNASCARdriverCamden Murphy.[citation needed]
