Career

She started her television career as a presenter onHTV West.From 1997-2001, she presentedNewsround;after leaving this, she presentedWatchdogwithNicky Campbell.She was famously impersonated byRonni AnconaonThe Big Impression.Gerbeau leftWatchdogin 2004. She also presentedThe Heaven and Earth Show.Gerbeau was also a newsreader onBBC Breakfastand also presented the news onBreakfast with Frost.Kate also presentedCBBCshowAgainst All Odds,which, likeBBC Oneshow999,showed reconstructions of real life emergencies and gave First Aid advice.

In December 2004 she joined Five, and co-presented the two-hour longGolden Mummy Tomb Opening LivewithGuy de la BédoyèrefromBahariyainEgypt's Western Desert, featuring the Egyptian archaeologistZahi Hawass.[2]She was a newsreader onFive News,until the birth of her daughter.

In July 2008 Gerbeau presented a documentary TV series on Five –Wild Animal ER– aboutTiggywinkles,the animal welfare charity and veterinary hospital.

February 2010 saw Kate taking a new role as presenter ofBFBSTV's weekday evening news programmeBritish Forces News.[3]

In 2019-2020 Kate worked withSlater and GordonLawyers on a series of podcasts exploring the stories of those who have gone through the civil justice system, and the legal teams who supported them through it.[4]

Since March 2023, she has been the presenter ofFrontlineonTimes Radio,as well as on itsYouTubechannel.

Personal life

She had a relationship with television presenterKrishnan Guru-Murthy.She married entrepreneur businessmanPierre-Yves Gerbeauin 2005. Together they had a child, Chloé Gerbeau.[citation needed]
