Thompson was a housemate ofPinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4which aired in 2012.[1]In the same year, he was cast as Albert Espirutu inABS-CBN'sKahit Puso'y Masugatanand appeared in an episode of the drama anthologyMaalaala Mo Kaya.[2]

For theCinemalayaentry#Y,Thompson shared a Special Citation for Ensemble Acting award with actorsChynna Ortaleza,Coleen Garcia,Sophie AlbertandElmo Magalona.[3]

In 2018, Thompson appeared as Darwin inStar Cinema'sThe Hows of Us.A year later, he appeared as Josh inBelle Douleur,[4][5]as Marco in theiWantoriginalMOMOL Nights,[2][6]and as Greco inSino ang Maysala?: Mea Culpa[2][7][8]―for which he was awarded Best Supporting Actor in the 4th GEMS Awards.[9]

On March 18, 2022, Thompson was arrested by thePhilippine National Police(PNP) after receiving a report that his girlfriend, actress Ana Jalandoni, needed rescuing after allegedly beingdetainedand beaten by Thompson in their hotel room inTagaytay.[11][12]The PNP charged Thompson with violating at least two provisions of the Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children law. He posted bail on March 21.[13]The extent of Jalandoni's injuries was published on social media.[14]
