Club career

Lund began playing soccer with the youth academy of Kerteminde, before joiningMidtjylland's youth side at the age of 13. He signed his first professional contract with Midtjylland on May 14, 2017.[1]He made his professional debut with them in a 2–1Danish Cupwin overOdense Boldklubon February 11, 2021.[2]On April 21, he transferred toEsbjerg,signing a three-year contract.[3]On August 11, before making an appearance with Esbjerg, he transferred to the Swedish clubHäckenuntil 2024.[4]

On August 21, 2023,Palermoannounced the signing of Lund on a four-year deal.[5]Lund scored his first league goal in a 3–2 loss toTernana Calcioon February 27, 2024.[6][7]

International career

Lund was born inDenmarkto a Danish father and anAmericanmother and holds dual citizenship.[8][9]He was a youth international for the Denmark national teams,[10]having represented the country fromunder-17tounder-21level.[8][9]

In August 2023, Lund officially filed a one-time switch to play for the United States national team,[11]and subsequently received his first call-up to theUnited States senior national teamby head coachGregg Berhalter,for twofriendly matchesagainstUzbekistanandOman.[11][12]

Lund made his debut for the United States on September 9, 2023, when he was subbed in during a friendly match againstUzbekistanatCityParkinSt. Louis.
