Lars Klevstrand(born 30 September 1949) is a Norwegian singer, guitarist, composer and actor. He was born inDrammen,Buskerud,the son of Olav Klevstrand and Grethe Sofie Larsen, and was brought up inBærum.

His debut album wasVi skal ikkje sovafrom 1968. In 1970, he published the songbookGjøglerhåndbok.Among his albums from the 1970s werePå stengrunnfrom 1973 (a cooperation withLillebjørn Nilsen,Kari Svendsenand others),Riv ned Gjerdene!from 1976, andHøysangfrom 1978. His albumViser til Mariannfrom 1983 was awardedSpellemannprisen.He made his debut as actor atDet Norske Teatretin 1975, in a cabaret onJacques Brelwhich run for 250performances.He has later played in musicals atNationaltheatret,atChateau Neuf,atOslo Nye Teaterand atSogn og Fjordane Teater.He was awarded the prize Målblomen in 1970, Prøysenprisen from 1991, andGammleng-prisen.He was a member of the board of Norges Kunstnerråd from 1993 to 1995, and a board member of theNordic House in the Faroe Islandsfrom 1995 to 2000.[1][2]
