Leucasis a genus of plants in the familyLamiaceae,first described byRobert Brownin 1810. It contains over 200 species, widespread over much ofAfrica,and southern and easternAsia(Iran,India,China,Japan,Indonesia,etc.) with a few species inQueenslandand on various islands in theIndian Ocean.[2][1]
