History
editLockers Park was founded in 1872 by Henry Montagu Draper,[3]an old boy ofRugby School.[4]It moved to purpose-built buildings and sports fields in 1874 in 23 acres (93,000 m2) of the parkland which surrounds a Georgiancountry housecalled Lockers or The Lockers,[5]which was once the home ofEbenezer John Collett.The new school was designed by Sidney Scott and has its own chapel which dates from the same era.[6]
In the 1940s and 1950s, the veteran England all-round cricketerFrank Woolley(1887–1978) was the school's cricket coach.[7]
