Louis P. DiPalma[1](born April 20, 1961 inBridgeport,Connecticut) is an American politician and aDemocraticmember of theRhode Island Senaterepresenting District 12 since January 2009.[2]He also served on theMiddletown, Rhode IslandTown council from 2004 to 2008, stepping down in 2008 to run forRhode Island State Senate.

  • 2008 To challenge District 12 incumbentRepublicanSenatorJune Gibbs,DiPalma was unopposed for the September 9, 2008 Democratic Primary, winning with 365 votes,[5]and won the November 4, 2008 General election with 6,558 votes (52.4%) against Senator Gibbs.[6]
  • 2010 DiPalma was unopposed for both the September 23, 2010 Democratic Primary, winning with 987 votes,[7]and the November 2, 2010 General election, winning with 6,603 votes.[8]
