Career
editKarting career
editBoya started competition karting in 2015, when he won theSpanish Karting Championship,and he repeated the same feat again in 2016. He won the championship again in 2018, this time in the Junior class, and came out victorious in the IAME Winter Cup that same year. The Spaniard stayed in karts until early 2020.
Lower formulae
editBoya made his car racing debut in the2020 F4 Spanish ChampionshipwithMP Motorsport.[1]He won three races throughout the course of the season, and finished second in the drivers' standings, only behind fellow rookie and teammateKas Haverkort.[2]Boya's most notable weekend came atMotorLand Aragón,where he won the first two races of the weekend, before finishing third in the final race.[3]
Formula Regional

editIn April 2021 it was announced that Boya would be making his debut in theFormula Regional European ChampionshipwithFormula One World ChampionFernando Alonso's team, FA Racing.[4]However at the last minute, he switched toVan Amersfoort Racinginstead, partneringFrancesco PizziandLorenzo Fluxá.[5]At the first round of the championship Boya scored five points, becoming the first driver to score points for the team that year.[6]He score multiple points finishes in the first half of his campaign, but the main highlight of the season would be a third-placed podium inValencia.[7]This placed him 14th in the standings at the end of the season.[8]
2022
editBoya joinedART Grand Prixfor the2022 Formula Regional European ChampionshipalongsideLaurens van HoepenandGabriele Minì.[9]He scored a second place early on inImola.[10]However, after the sixth round at theHungaroring,Boya was replaced byEsteban Massonat ART for unknown reasons.[11]However, he was drafted to replaceMichael BelovatMP Motorsportfor the remainder of the season.[12]This move would only bring two points in the remaining four rounds, as Boya limped to tenth in the standings.[13]
2023
editBoya raced the full season withMP Motorsportin the2023 Formula Regional Middle East Championship.[14]He took his first Formula Regional win during the third race of theDubaiopening round, and another win in the final round atYas Marinaboosted him to fifth in the standings.[15][16]
2024
editHe returned to theFormula Regional Middle East Championshipin 2024, driving forPinnacle Motorsport.[17]
FIA Formula 3 Championship

editIn September 2022, Boya drove forMP Motorsportduring theFIA Formula 3post-season test.[18][19][20]Just two months later, the Dutch outfit confirmed Boya's signing for the2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship.[21]He later stated that his aim was to "quickly adapt and to take all the opportunities [I] have".[22]Boya endured an atrocious start to his season, failing to score in the first three rounds, whilst retiring thrice. However, he banished his poor fortunes with a double points finish in sixth and seventh atBarcelona.[23]He returned to the points in theHungary feature race,having managed his tyres well.[24]Boya's best weekend came at theMonza finale,having battled teammateFranco Colapintofor the lead, the Spaniard would lose second place toGabriel Bortoletoon the last lap, but nevertheless scored his first podium.[25]He followed this up with sixth in the feature, seeing him place 17th in the standings with 29 points.[26]
2024
editBoya switched toCampos Racingfor his second season of Formula 3 in2024,alongsideSebastián MontoyaandRed Bull juniorOliver Goethe.[27]He started the season with points in the sprint race with eighth, but sustained a puncture on the second lap during the feature race after contact withLaurens van Hoepen.[28]Qualifying sixth inMelbourne,Boya made his way up the order and finished in an impressive fourth.[29]He continued his good form in the feature with seventh.[30]InImola,Boya was taken out of the opening lap in the sprint race, but made up 18 positions in the feature race from 27th to finish ninth.[31]A solid weekend inMonacorewarded him with sixth and seventh place.[32]
In theBarcelona sprint race,from third, Boya took advantage of a collision from the leadingTridentcars. Despite a challenge fromAlex Dunne,Boya persevered for his first F3 victory in his home race.[33][34]He would finish eighth during the feature race, but was penalised due to track limits and dropped to 14th.[35]However, this was followed by two rounds with points owing to poor qualifying, but scored a point again in theBudapest feature race.[36]Boya survived a chaotic sprint race inMonzato take seventh place, his final points finish of the season, as he retired in the feature race after contact with teammate Montoya.[37]The Spaniard finished his sophomore F3 campaign 15th in the standings with 45 points.[38]
2025
editStaying in the category for a third season, Boya continued withCampos Racingfor the2025 FIA Formula 3 season.[39]
Eurocup-3

editIn a last-minute signing, Boya announced that he would compete in the2023 Eurocup-3 seasonwithMP Motorsport,alongside his Formula 3 campaign.[40]
2024
editBoya returned toEurocup-3with GRS Team during the final round inBarcelona.[41]
