Later,Sony Picturesacquired the rights to distribute the film in theUnited Statesand some other territories mainly on home video;[3][2]the film was ultimately released theatrically in the United States in alimited theatrical releasebyTriStar Pictureson April 12, 2002.[5]It was a critical and box office bomb.[3]
