TheNumaligarh Refineryis adivisionofOil India Limitedwhich is under theownershipofMinistry of Petroleum and Natural Gas,Government of India.It is located atNumaligarh,Golaghat district,Assamin India. Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) was adivisionofBPCL.It opened in 1999.[3]The commercial production commenced from 1st October, 2000.

As of 2014,it had a capacity of 3 million metric tonnes per year.[4]In January 2019, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved plans to increase the refinery's capacity to 9 million metric tonnes per year.[5]
