Odell Pollard(April 29, 1927 – March 12, 2015) was a lawyer and politician in Arkansas. He switched from being aDemocratto becoming a member of theRepublican Party.[1]In the 1960s, he chaired the Arkansas Republican Party.[2]In 1967, he addressed theUrban Leagueof Little Rock.[3]He had a law firm inSearcy, Arkansas,and for many years worked to transform Arkansas from a Democratic stronghold into a two-party state.[4]He was aliberal Republicanand a close ally ofWinthrop Rockefeller.[1]
