Career
editPark Se-young made her acting debut in aTV dramain 2002 when she was still a child, but left show business to concentrate on her studies.[1]She returned to acting in 2011, and first drew attention after appearing inJay Park's "Know Your Name (Acoustic)"music video.[2]She then played supporting roles in family dramaIf Tomorrow Comes,[3]revenge thrillerMan from the Equator,[4]melodramaLove Rain,[5]period epicFaith,[6]and teen dramaSchool 2013.[1]
In 2013, Park was cast in her first leading role in the daily dramaA Tale Of Two Sisters.[7]She was also designated as one of theMCsonMusic Bank.[8][9]
Park appeared on thefourth seasonofWe Got Marriedin 2014, a variety/reality show that paired celebrities into fake wedded couples (Park's partner wasJang Wooyoungfromboyband2PM).[10][11][12]Another leading role followed in weekend dramaGlorious Day.[13]Park then starred in twowebtoonfilm adaptations–Fashion King(2014) andThe Cat Funeral(2015).[14][15]
After ending a contract dispute withS.A.L.T Entertainment,Park signed with new agency Hunus Entertainment in 2015.[16]The same year Park was cast in her villainous role in the daily dramaMy Daughter, Geum Sa-woland she won Excellence Award, Actress in9thKorea Drama Awardsfor her performance.[17][18]
In 2016, Park starred in the medical thrillerA Beautiful Mind.[19]
After a supporting role in the 2017 legal thrillerWhisper,[20]Park played the leading role in melodramaMoney Flower.[21]
In June 2018, Park signed with new agency CL& Company.[22]
In 2019, Park was cast in the comedy dramaSpecial Labor Inspectoras a judo athlete turned civil servant.[23]
In 2022, Park is confirmed to make her small screen comeback after three years through tvN dramaMental Coach Jegal,for which she was cast along withJung Woo,Lee Yoo-miandKwon Yul.[24]
Personal life
editOn January 24, 2022, Park's agency confirmed that she andKwak Jung-wookare getting married in mid-February, and the wedding ceremony will be held privately in Seoul.[25]They met while appearing together in the dramaSchool 2013and developed into a couple a few years ago.[26]
