Philippa Dowdingis a Canadian writer of children's literature,[1]whose novelFireflywas the winner of theGovernor General's Award for English-language children's literatureat the2021 Governor General's Awards.[2]
She has also been a four-time nominee forForest of Reading's Silver Birch Awards, receiving nods in 2017 forMyles and the Monster Outsideand in 2020 forOculum.[3]
